Black Legacy at Grinnell College is deep and continuously growing. This website is a hub for Black Grinnellians, past, present, and future, to engage with the legacy in a meaningful way. In the 150 years of our institution, there have been ebbs and flows in the visibility of Black history. In recent years, especially since the Renfrow Hall dedication in September of 2024, the college has been taking intentional strides towards uplifting Black Grinnellians’ voices and presence in our campus community.
